The Netherlands has pledged to provide Ukraine with spare parts, ammunition, and maintenance support for its F-16 fighter jets. Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten made the announcement after a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Jetten emphasized that strengthening Ukraine's air defense is a matter of life and death, as the country's F-16 fleet must remain operational.
President Zelenskyy and Jetten discussed the ongoing war developments, with a focus on enhancing Ukraine's air defense capabilities. The Dutch leader also highlighted the intensification of Russian attacks, which target civilian infrastructure and energy facilities. Russian aggression against Ukraine continues to escalate, with recent air attacks in Kyiv.
Ukraine's F-16 jets have reportedly shot down a significant number of Shahed drones, thanks to Dutch support. Both leaders agreed to discuss ways to bolster the operation of these fighter jets and protect critical infrastructure in Ukraine.
