Nashik is about to receive top-tier football facilities with the approval of a national-standard ground at Hutatma Anant Kanhere Maidan. These improvements aim to enhance the city's football scene, offering local players better opportunities and training conditions. The new ground will boast a superior playing surface, advanced drainage, and other crucial amenities for competitive matches.
By providing day-and-night lighting through high-mast floodlights, the Maidan will enable football events to be held both during daylight and evening/night hours, providing flexibility for tournaments and spectators. With these upgrades, Nashik could serve as a venue for state-level and national-level football tournaments, bringing together teams and players from across the country.
This enhancement in infrastructure is expected to benefit football academies, clubs, and aspiring players, while gradually positioning Nashik as a potential host for major football competitions.
