Movistar Prosegur Alarmas supera los 650.000 clientes y genera caja positiva por primera vez

Movistar Prosegur Alarmas has surpassed 650,000 customers and generated positive revenue for the first time. The joint venture between Prosegur and Movistar began operations in March 2020 and has since tripled its client base, aiming to reach one million users by 2030. In a presentation, Movistar Prosegur Alarmas CEO Diego Torrico announced the company's first positive earnings in 2026 and noted that they no longer rely on leverage to grow.

The company does not plan to acquire other businesses for expansion, though it remains open to opportunities in the market. Plans for international expansion beyond Spain are not in place at this time. The company's strategic partnerships include agreements with Santander, Occidental, Allianz, Carrefour, Fené Energía, and Correos.

According to industry reports, the alarm industry added 1.2 million customers over the past five years, reaching 3.62 million users in 2025. The current alarm penetration rate stands at 12%, leaving significant growth potential of around 60% to match more established markets like the US and Norway. Approximately 32% of Spain's 19.8 million households still lack connected alarms, presenting a market opportunity that could double the industry's market share.
