Lane Kiffin motivates LSU football team with viral fake quote from Kentucky star
LSU head coach Lane Kiffin is pulling out all the stops to get his team motivated for Saturday.
No 10 LSU faces a significant challenge this Saturday against Kentucky. Following a 35-34 victory over South Carolina, Kentucky has improved to a 4-1 record overall. As part of the preparation for this crucial game, LSU head coach Lane Kiffin has installed a photo in the LSU football facility. This photo features a quote falsely attributed to Kentucky’s Kenny Minchey, which reads, "LSU’s defense hasn’t seen anyone and our offensive line yet."
Kentucky Sports Radio has confirmed on social media that Minchey never made such a statement; it was created as "manufactured" bulletin board material for LSU. Kiffin appears to be employing every tactic at his disposal to energize his team for this pivotal matchup. Even though this approach seems unusual, it is characteristic of Lane Kiffin.
Both LSU and Kentucky enter this game with a 4-1 record, and they cannot afford further setbacks. The kick-off for Saturday’s showdown between the Tigers and Wildcats is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
