Indore Bikers Pose As Delivery Boys, Throw Flammable Substance On Woman For Rejecting Marriage Proposal

Indore, Madhya Pradesh: In a shocking incident, a man and his accomplice allegedly hurled a flammable substance at a woman for refusing his marriage proposal. The victim was inside her friend's car when the culprits targeted her. To conceal their identities, the offenders donned jackets resembling those of online delivery platforms and arrived on motorcycles, making the attack hard to trace.

The incident occurred on October 3 outside a doctor's clinic in Saket Nagar. Initially, police suspected an acid attack on the woman and launched an investigation. According to officials, four youths arrived on two motorcycles when the woman was seated in her friend's car. Two of the riders had their faces covered; one was dressed in a yellow jacket, while the other wore an orange-colored jacket.

The men allegedly threw the flammable substance at the woman before fleeing the scene. Police discovered that the accused, Rajpal, had known the woman for three to four years, but she had stopped communicating with him about five months ago. Rajpal reportedly wanted to marry her, but she refused. Investigators claim that he became enraged over her rejection and concocted a plan with his associates to target her with acid.

CCTV footage and surrounding area analysis revealed the presence of four youths on two motorcycles. Police collected information from the suspects' appearances and motorcycles, tracing their mobile number to locate the accused. Rajpal and his alleged accomplice, Abhishek, also known as Rajesh Ekkel, were arrested on Monday from the Gwaltoli area.

A minor was also detained. The involved motorcycles, clothes, and other items are currently being seized. Police are questioning the accused and searching for additional suspects involved in the incident.
