'If we do something, it has to be authentic to that community — it has to meet a certain bar of performance and what we have right now isn’t quite there’: Bose president Raza Haider’s message to gamers on a new headset is to ‘absolutely stay tuned'

Bose's president, Raza Haider, addressed gamers' demand for a new gaming headset, stating that any new iteration must be authentic to the gaming community. Haider emphasized that the new headset should meet a certain performance bar, which the current QC35 II gaming headset does not quite achieve. He added that fans should absolutely stay tuned for potential hardware designed for gamers.

In an interview with TechRadar, Haider acknowledged that Bose's gaming audio products have been scarce in recent years, with only the 2021 QC35 II gaming headset being released. He noted that the audio manufacturer is aware of the passionate gamers who hope for more hardware from Bose. Haider explained that a new headset must resonate with the gaming community and satisfy them with a top-notch performance.

Although Bose has previously produced a gaming headset, Haider believes that the current offering doesn't resonate with gamers due to its lack of authenticity. He reiterated that a new headset must not only be true to the gaming community but also meet a certain performance level that the current product does not offer. Haider added that the company is keen on expanding into the gaming audio genre, and fans should stay tuned for potential hardware in the future.

TechRadar Gaming rated the Bose QC35 II NC four stars in their review, praising its noise cancellation, balanced sound, and comfort. However, they mentioned that the headset lacked functionality that would benefit gamers, such as an instant mute button or auto play/pause. Overall, Leong described the Bose QC35 II NC as an excellent headphone for travelers and commuters, but audiophiles might want to explore the best headphones for the highest sound quality.
