‘I told my children I’m a witch’ – Stephanie Benson

Ghanaian-British singer Stephanie Benson has opened up about an unconventional parenting technique she employed while raising her children overseas. During an interview on Hitz FM, the singer admitted to lying to her children about being a witch in order to dissuade them from engaging in mischievous behavior. Benson explained that raising children in foreign environments can present unique challenges due to the numerous external influences they are exposed to, making it a demanding task despite any financial circumstances.

To ensure her children remained on the right path, she adopted a peculiar method of telling them from a young age that she was a witch who possessed the ability to know everything they did before they even performed it. The singer noted that this tactic proved remarkably effective, as her children held onto this belief for an extended period, with some believing it even until their late twenties.

Benson clarified that what her children perceived as supernatural insight was, in actuality, a manifestation of her intuitive understanding of their personalities and actions. Although the children eventually discovered the truth, they maintained a close relationship with their mother, who remains their best friend throughout their lives.
