Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) has introduced soil testing facilities at nine locations in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to promote balanced fertilization and scientific farming practices. The inauguration of the facility in Dandwapar, Gorakhpur, was attended by Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty, Managing Director of HURL, Hon’ble MLA Rajesh Tripathi, and various stakeholders from the farming community.
The initiative aims to enhance farmers' understanding of their soil's nutrient status, facilitating informed decisions regarding fertilizer application. By promoting efficient use of agricultural inputs, improved soil health, and sustainable crop productivity, the soil testing facilities are expected to help farmers make better input decisions, ultimately leading to healthier soils, efficient cultivation practices, and sustainable agricultural productivity.
