Give Ronaldo proper farewell, Modric tells Portugal

Croatia captain Luka Modric has called on Portugal to provide a fitting farewell to Cristiano Ronaldo, describing him as the greatest player in the country's history. Modric expressed disappointment that Ronaldo faces such circumstances in his own country and remains hopeful that a solution will be found to ensure the veteran forward receives the send-off he deserves.

Ronaldo, a central figure in Portuguese football for nearly two decades, has established himself as the country's most recognisable footballer, with major tournament success and record-breaking performances.
