General : Selangor Sultan Receives Silver Jubilee Keris Marking 25 Years On Throne

Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, the Sultan of Selangor, recently received a unique ceremonial sword known as the Keris Jubli Perak. This sword, specially crafted to commemorate his 25th year on the throne, was commissioned by the Sultan himself to honor Malay cultural heritage and traditions. The intricate design of the keris reflects the diverse history and revered status of the Selangor monarchy, with each element carefully chosen to symbolize various aspects of the Sultan's reign and the identity of Selangor.

The 25-inch sword, made from seven types of iron, represents the strength and unity of the Sultan's reign, while its White Eagle motif signifies courage and authority. The inclusion of Black Healer wood, buffalo horns, and nine gemstones further emphasize the deep connection between the keris and Malay heritage, as well as the Sultan's commitment to preserving traditional craftsmanship for future generations.
