Focus on skill development and digital education, Telangana Governor urges higher education institutions

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla has urged higher education institutions in Telangana to prioritize skill development, digital education, and inclusive learning. Speaking at the 27th convocation of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Shukla praised the university's role in expanding educational opportunities to over 25 lakh students, including those from rural, remote, and disadvantaged communities.

He highlighted the university's Samatha initiative, which offers free education to economically weaker, disadvantaged, and tribal communities, and noted that more than half of its graduates are women. Shukla also encouraged the youth to embrace emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, robotics, and automation, and work towards a drug-free India.
