Delta NDC gov candidate hails Asagba of Asaba on second coronation anniversary

Deacon Chris Iyovwaye, the 2027 governorship candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Delta State, has lauded Asagba of Asaba, Prof. Epiphany Azinge, on his second coronation anniversary. Iyovwaye expressed his admiration for Azinge's remarkable achievements in just two years on the throne. He highlighted Azinge's experience as a scholar and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, stating that the monarch had applied this knowledge to the traditional institution, greatly enhancing its impact.

Iyovwaye praised Azinge's initiatives, which included building a 1,000-capacity event center, establishing a Smart Nursery and Primary School, beautifying public spaces, and improving the cemetery. He also commended Azinge for fostering peace and unity in Asaba, describing the city as one of the most peaceful state capitals in Nigeria.

The candidate praised the monarch for promoting dialogue over division, unity over discord, and justice over sentiment, and lauded him for opening the palace to a larger community and recognizing women by making their mothers and daughters Chiefs. Iyovwaye prayed for the Asagba's continued prosperity, the Asaba Kingdom, and the entire Delta State, wishing them many more years of success.
