Airbus says Biman Bangladesh confirms order for 10 jets

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has placed an order for 10 Airbus aircraft, the European manufacturer announced on Wednesday. This follows recently confirmed plans by the company to purchase 11 Boeing aircraft. The new order includes four long-haul A350-900 jets and six medium-haul A321neo aircraft. Earlier this month, Biman Bangladesh placed orders for 11 Boeing 787 Dreamliner and 737 MAX aircraft.

The airline currently operates a fleet of 19 aircraft primarily consisting of Boeing jets and Dash-8 turboprops. Biman Bangladesh serves over 20 percent of the country's air passengers, according to Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M. Rashiduzzaman Millat.
