San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw received an NFL fine of $11,941 for taunting the Denver Broncos' bench during the team's 24-14 victory. Following the game, Greenlaw confronted Sean Payton at midfield, yelling at him, "You get the f**k off my field!" Payton was moved away by Fred Warner. Later, Greenlaw admitted to making those remarks during a postgame press conference.
Greenlaw posted "Damn fr? Lmao" in response to the NFL's announcement of the fine. Greenlaw had recorded 12 tackles in the game, the most he had since December 25, 2023, boosting the 49ers' record to 4-0. Greenlaw joined the Broncos in 2025 on a three-year, $31.5 million contract, despite limited playing time due to injuries. During his tenure with the Broncos, he recorded 43 tackles in eight games, but missed the first six due to a torn quadriceps and two more games due to a hamstring injury.
Greenlaw's previous experience with the Broncos was reportedly strained, as Payton did not personally call him when he was released.
