2027: Donald Duke reveals only reason Tinubu will defeat opposition

During an interview on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief, Donald Duke, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party, has revealed the sole reason he believes President Bola Tinubu will emerge victorious in the 2027 general elections. Duke argued that the opposition candidates, Atiku Abubakar of the Africa Democratic Congress and Peter Obi from the Nigeria Democratic Congress, are likely to split their votes and support Tinubu, similar to the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.

Duke emphasized that the efforts of opposition leaders to pursue individual presidential bids could hinder their chances of defeating the ruling party, just as the fragmentation of major parties in the United States has allowed the Republicans to maintain their grip on power. He cited the example of the 2023 election, where the opposition was split among several candidates, including Vice President Atiku from the PDP, Peter Obi from the Labour party, and Atiku's rival, Atiku's rival, Atiku.

Duke concluded that unless the opposition opposition candidates unite, they may fail to defeat the ruling party in the upcoming elections.
