Troy Aikman made a humorous comment about Saints quarterback Tyler Shough's extensive college resume during the Saints' loss to the Falcons. The New Orleans team was down 24-7 at halftime, and Aikman jokingly questioned whether Shough, who played seven years in college, could truly be considered a franchise quarterback. Shough had a respectable game, completing 12 of 19 passes for 139 yards, but the Falcons dominated early with a 14-0 first quarter lead, thanks to a touchdown run by Bijan Robinson.
The Falcons continued to pile on points in the second quarter, while the Saints struggled to keep up. Robinson scored two rushing touchdowns and Drake London led the Falcons with over 80 receiving yards. Chris Olave provided support for Shough with three catches for 62 yards. Despite Shough's experience in college, Aikman emphasized that the NFL presents a unique challenge.
