This legendary Canon f/1.2 lens just dropped by almost $200 at Amazon
The Canon 50mm f/1.2L is a bona fide classic – and Amazon just knocked $199 off
Amazon has slashed $199.01 off the Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM, bringing its price down to $1,349 from its usual $1,548.01. This isn't the newest 50mm in Canon’s lineup, but its reputation precedes it. Known for its distinctive rendering, beautiful background blur, and unmistakable character, this lens has become a favorite among portrait and wedding photographers for years.
The EF 50mm f/1.2L USM boasts a bright f/1.2 aperture, delivering exceptional depth of field control and superior low-light performance. Its unique look, characterized by creamy bokeh and three-dimensional rendering, sets it apart from newer lenses in laboratory tests. Designed for Canon DSLRs, this premium lens features a robust construction, fast USM autofocus, and a comfortable feel on professional camera bodies.
With Canon's EF-EOS R adapter, it's also a great choice for mirrorless camera users. Priced at $1,349 in the Amazon sale, the EF 50mm f/1.2L USM is an investment, but its history, character, and unparalleled look make it a highly sought-after lens for many photographers.
