The Keelon Russell reason why Kalen DeBoer can win over Alabama football fanbase

As the Alabama football team prepares for their upcoming game against the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday evening, star quarterback Keelon Russell has become a key factor in earning the support of the fanbase. Russell's impressive performance, particularly in their recent blowout against Mississippi State, has earned him a growing reputation and sparked enthusiasm among fans.

College football media personality Rece Davis highlighted Russell's impact during an appearance on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show, noting that Alabama has been excited about him for several years and that his success has generated significant energy in the fanbase. The anticipation surrounding Russell began long before his arrival at Alabama, and the decision to make him the starter for the upcoming season was well-received by fans.

This move came amid increased pressure on head coach Kalen DeBoer to start the season strong following their loss to the Indiana Hoosiers, who went on to win the national championship last year. If Russell can maintain his strong performance, DeBoer's position as head coach may become less of a concern. Alabama's next challenge will be their toughest test of the season against Georgia, currently ranked number two in the country and yet to play a competitive game. The game will kick off at 7:30 pm ET from Tuscaloosa on Saturday.
