The Comet Is Coming, an experimental London jazz trio, is set to release a 10th-anniversary reissue of their full-length debut album, Channel The Spirits. This edition includes previously unreleased tracks, specifically "Lost Party Jam 2". The trio, known for their adventurous sound, formed in 2013 and released three albums and several EPs before disbanding in 2023.
Their decision to cancel their final show was a solidarity gesture towards Palestinian people, as it coincided with a global strike called for by Jewish Voice For Peace. Since their breakup, lead member Shabaka has pursued a successful solo career.
