Student admits murdering woman in 'Dexter' kill room
Forensics student Benjamin William Day, 20, lured Maria Saceanu to an Airbnb to murder her.
Benjamin William Day, a 20-year-old forensic science student, has pleaded guilty to murdering 24-year-old Maria Saceanu in a plastic-lined "kill room" within an Airbnb. Day, aged 19 at the time of the crime, meticulously planned the murder, equipping the room with plastic sheeting and tools to facilitate the killing and cover-up.
Initially, Day's defense was self-defense and a TikTok tribute to the TV series Dexter. However, he changed his plea on the second day of the trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court and is being held in custody, with sentencing scheduled for December 4th.
