Stormers v Sharks: ‘We are looking forward to playing in a full stadium,’ says Esterhuizen
The two coastal sides are set to battle it out in a derby at what should be a packed Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.
Sharks captain André Esterhuizen is eager for their upcoming United Rugby Championship (URC) match against the Stormers at the full-capacity Cape Town Stadium on Saturday. After a strong start to the season with two home wins against Ospreys and Leinster, the Sharks are looking to carry that momentum into the coastal derby. Esterhuizen expressed excitement about playing in front of a large home crowd, noting that it will be a tough game against the strong Stormers team.
He acknowledged that there are areas for improvement, particularly in the breakdown and turnover situations, but emphasized the team's progress and desire to build upon their early-season success. Esterhuizen also praised the Sharks' forwards and their crucial role in setting up plays, especially under challenging conditions.
