Seven young men have been arrested in Alhama de Murcia after a violent assault on a nightclub doorman, according to the Guardia Civil. The suspects, aged between 17 and 22 and all locals, face charges of assault causing injury and public disorder. The incident took place in the early hours of September 20th, following reports that a group was attacking a man outside a nightclub.
Police found the victim with a bleeding head wound and transported him to a nearby health center. Mobile phone footage, which had also been shared on social media, captured the doorman using an extendable baton before being surrounded, knocked to the ground, and repeatedly assaulted by the group of young men. Witness testimony and video evidence allowed officers to identify the seven suspects, who have now been apprehended.
The victim was also brought before the courts due to an outstanding judicial order requiring his arrest and appearance.
