Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal's all-time leading scorer with 146 goals and a record 234 caps, is facing an uncertain future with his national team after a public disagreement with new head coach Jorge Jesus. The 41-year-old forward walked out of the squad following a dispute over being made to warm up but not introduced during Portugal's Nations League match against Norway.
Following this incident, Ronaldo learned he would not start in the upcoming match against Denmark. Despite the dispute, Jesus has stated that Ronaldo would be welcome back to the team, and discussions are ongoing among Ronaldo, his representatives, and the Portuguese Football Federation. While Ronaldo's supporters have backed him on social media, some fans and media have criticized the veteran for his behavior.
With Portugal's next match against Denmark set for November, Ronaldo now faces a crucial decision about his international career.
