‘RIP Ravens Season,’ ‘The Kiss of Death’ — NFL Fans React After Marlon Humphrey, Ravens Teammates Join Donald Trump at Baltimore County Event
Four Ravens players joined President Donald Trump on Tuesday at Tradepoint Atlantic in Baltimore County, and the internet had plenty to say. Cornerback Marlon Humphrey, kicker Tyler Loop, punter Ryan Eckley, and long snapper Nick Moore attended the event, which highlighted a $3.
NFL fans expressed mixed reactions after four Ravens players, including Marlon Humphrey, joined President Donald Trump at a Baltimore County event. The gathering highlighted a $3.7 billion investment by Anduril Industries to build components for nuclear-powered submarines, which is expected to create 3,100 direct jobs. The event came two days after key players Lamar Jackson, Humphrey, and Durham Smythe were injured during a 24-18 win over the Tennessee Titans.
Fans speculated that Trump's appearance might be an unlucky omen for the season, with comments such as "RIP Ravens season" and "the kiss of death" circulating. The players had already been dealing with injuries before the event, with Jackson suffering a sprained ankle, Humphrey with calf and foot issues, Smythe tearing his Achilles tendon, and guard Andrew Vorhees with a calf injury.
Trump praised the team's performance, mentioning the 3-1 record, but fans worried that his association could be a jinx for the season.
