In the wake of the San Francisco 49ers' 4-0 start, veteran defensive lineman Vita Vea is being considered for a potential trade by the Buccaneers. Former 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman has called on the 49ers' general manager, John Lynch, to reach out to the Buccaneers about a deal for Vea. Sherman believes that Vea, who is from near Levi's Stadium, would be a valuable addition to the 49ers' defense.
The 31-year-old Vea has played 128 snaps for the Buccaneers this season, earning a 60.2 overall PFF defensive grade. He has made four solo tackles, three total pressures, three stops, three hurries, and two batted passes. Sherman believes that Vea's addition would strengthen the 49ers' defensive line, especially against the run.
The 49ers are set to receive reinforcements with Nick Bosa and Mykel Williams returning, and Sherman is confident that the team will only become stronger with their return.
