Ranieri confession of new Fiorentina contract to June 2029

Luca Ranieri disclosed to Sky Sport Italia that he has secured a new contract with Fiorentina, set to last until June 2029 with the possibility of an additional year. Speaking to the media, the defender expressed his enthusiasm about signing with the club, stating, "I can't wait to prove how eager I am to stay."

Ranieri, the 27-year-old, mentioned that the final details are being finalized, and he is delighted and honored to continue playing for Fiorentina. Having spent his entire career at the club since the age of 13, Ranieri reflected on the club's ups and downs, emphasizing his deep connection to the team.

When asked if he sees himself committing his entire career to Fiorentina, Ranieri was cautious, acknowledging that football's nature is unpredictable. However, he expressed excitement about potentially wearing the Fiorentina jersey for an extended period, saying, "The idea of continuing for another three years at Fiorentina is marvellous. I can’t wait to prove how eager I am to stay."

Ranieri began his journey with Fiorentina in their youth academy and later advanced to the senior squad, having briefly loaned out to Foggia, Ascoli, SPAL, and Salernitana. His current contract expires in June 2028, making this new deal a significant step in his career. The team faced a challenging start to the season, leading to the dismissal of former manager Fabio Grosso and the return of Paolo Vanoli, who has shown support for Ranieri and his teammates throughout the situation.
