Putrajaya autonomous EV bus service starts this week: Six stops, RM1 per ride

Putrajaya's Nadiputra public bus service will introduce an autonomous electric bus service starting October 7, 2026. This new self-driving EV bus service will operate on Route P113, connecting MRT Putrajaya Sentral to Dataran Gemilang. The service will be provided in collaboration with Handal Indah and eMooVit, who will utilize eMooVit's Kinglong EV bus.

The autonomous EV bus has previously performed demo and test runs on the Sunway BRT Line with Rapid KL, as well as in Cyberjaya and Putrajaya. It is currently unclear if this will be a permanent service.

The Route P113 service will follow a loop starting and ending at MRT Putrajaya Sentral, passing through key administrative hubs such as Kementerian Kewangan, Istana Kehakiman, Kementerian Belia & Sukan, Dataran Gemilang, and Kompleks Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPJ). Operational hours for the autonomous EV bus are limited to Monday through Friday, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.

Departure times from MRT Putrajaya Sentral are 7:15am, 8:15am, 9:15am, 10:15am, 2:45pm, 3:45pm, 4:45pm, and 5:45pm. The service will only accept cashless payments using Visa or Mastercard credit or debit cards, differing from other Rapid KL and Nadiputra bus rides that accept Touch 'n Go cards and Rapid Passes/MY50. The fare for the ride is RM1 per trip.
