PDP Anambra South unveils campaign

The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has launched an energetic road walk in Anambra South Senatorial election, in support of their candidate, Samben Nwosu. The campaign kicked off at the Jideofor Hotel in Nnewi, with the presence of PDP leadership from across the state. Notable attendees included the Deputy National Legal Adviser Chinemelum Ubah, the Party State Chairman Casmir Ajulu, the State Secretary Sir Sunny Umenne, and the Vice Chairman and Anambra South Chairman Victor Uba.

PDP State Chairman Ajulu voiced confidence in the party's ability to secure victories in the 2027 general elections, stating that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) cannot defeat PDP. He added, “APGA managed to win the last bye-election after the demise of late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, but we will win against them come 2027.”

Party member Chinemelum Ubah encouraged the party’s seven local government chairmen and ward executives in the Anambra South Senatorial district to share the news of Nwosu’s candidacy with their constituents, emphasizing the importance of voting and monitoring the election process. Anambra South Senatorial District Chairman Uba expressed the district’s readiness to back Nwosu, while Nwosu expressed gratitude for his party’s support, emphasizing that PDP is alive and needs a leader who is committed to taking the party to greater heights.

The event also marked the official handover of the PDP flag to Nwosu. Journalist Ikenna Obianeri, covering the story, highlighted the significance of the campaign and the party’s commitment to delivering their candidate in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
