NPFL: Yusuf confident Shooting Stars will improve after slow start

Shooting Stars technical adviser, Salisu Yusuf, has urged supporters to be patient following their goalless draw against Nasarawa United. Yusuf has expressed confidence that the team will improve as the season progresses. So far, the Oluyole Warriors have secured two wins, drawn one game, and suffered three defeats in their opening six matches of the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) campaign.

The defeat in the CAF Confederation Cup's first preliminary round did not sit well with Yusuf, who admitted during an interview with 3SCFANTV, "Football is very emotional, even myself am not happy with the outcome of the game against Nasarawa United." However, he urged fans to understand that the team needs time to turn things around.

Yusuf continued, "We have only played six games in the season with more to go, we just need to be patient because to be on the continent it’s not the best starter but the best finisher that will make it."
