NIISe akan peroleh data masa nyata dari Interpol, polis, LHDN, PTPTN
Perkongsian data tersebut akan bantu Jabatan Imigresen saring pengembara yang keluar masuk negara, kata menteri KDN.
Malaysian Immigration Department (IM) will gain access to real-time data from various agencies including Interpol, police, Prison Department and Inland Revenue Department (LHDN) to screen travelers entering and leaving the country, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Saifuddin Nasution Ismail announced. This data will be integrated under the National Integrated Immigration System (NIISe), which is currently being phased in to replace the existing MyIMMs system.
The NIISe system will also be enhanced in terms of early screening, risk profiling of travelers and integration and sharing of real-time data between various agencies. In addition to data from LHDN, contributions from PTPTN, Malaysia's Higher Education Trust Fund, will also be combined under the NIISe system to assist the Immigration Department in controlling the country's border.
In the long-term plan, the government aims to develop an Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data analytics-based border management system to tackle future security challenges, Saifuddin said. This system is currently being designed by the ministry and is still under development.
