Nerja parking boost confirmed with 847-space car park

Nerja's town government has approved plans for a new 847-space car park adjacent to the health centre, marking a significant boost in parking facilities for residents and visitors. The development on Avenida de Pescia will consist of four floors, providing 25,406 square meters of space, including 806 standard parking bays, 22 for people with reduced mobility, and 20 designed for electric vehicles.

The project, estimated to cost €27.61 million, is being developed under a concession model, with construction and operation phases planned separately. The new parking facility aims to alleviate traffic congestion around the health centre, which is expected to serve approximately 25,000 individuals from Nerja and Frigiliana. Additionally, a new road connecting the Glorieta de los Profesionales de la Sanidad with Avenida de Pescia is being constructed, further enhancing access to the area.

The car park's estimated completion will be accompanied by the establishment of final arrangements and pricing through the future contract. Local authorities emphasize that the new facility will increase parking capacity, reduce traffic, and provide a practical improvement for one of Axarquia's busiest tourist towns.
