Kacey Musgraves Takes ‘Uncertain, TX’ Across the Border With Tejano Legends Intocable
The Zapata group joins the singer for her first fully Spanish-language recording.
Country star Kacey Musgraves is bringing her hit "Uncertain, TX" back to its roots, now in a Spanish-language version, with the help of Tejano legends Intocable. The Golden, Texas-raised artist has released a fully Spanish-recording of the song from her Middle of Nowhere album, featuring Intocable's characteristic norteño/Tejano sound.
This marks Musgraves' first Spanish-language recording. An excited Musgraves said, "Having a song with the legends of Intocable is such a thrill for me... this collaboration is such a fun example of cultural melting pot that makes our state so great."
Intocable, a Zapata-based group formed just across the Rio Grande from Guerrero, made history in September with a performance for an estimated 300,000 fans at Mexico City's Zócalo during Mexican Independence Day celebrations. The band has also become the RIAA Latin Diamond-certified artist with the most honors, earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and celebrated a catalog with 15 No. 1s on Billboard's Top Regional Mexican Albums chart and 21 No. 1s on Regional Mexican Airplay.
Meanwhile, Musgraves is touring her Middle of Nowhere album across North America, including Texas stops in Houston, Austin, and Dallas, scheduled to run through October 27. She has already played sold-out shows at Chicago's United Center and New York City's Madison Square Garden. The re-recorded Spanish version of "Uncertain, TX" is now available for listeners.
