Mumbai's Ismail Yusuf College will soon be home to a 320-bed women's hostel and a 150-foot national flag, following approval from Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil. Initially pursued by Mumbai North West MP Ravindra Waikar in 2020, the proposal aims to provide safe accommodation for over 6,000 students and promote patriotism.
Patil has directed officials to submit necessary proposals promptly, with the Public Works Department expected to undertake the work after obtaining the required no-objection certificate.
