How I Built a Free Online Quiz Website

I recently started working on a small project called Unbotium, a free online quiz website. The idea was pretty simple: pick a subject, start a quiz, answer the questions before the timer runs out, and see your score. I used AI quite a bit while building it. ChatGPT was basically my coding partner. I used it for HTML, CSS, JavaScript, fixing bugs, creating the quiz system, timers, SEO stuff, and…

I recently embarked on a small project called Unbotium, a free online quiz website. The concept was straightforward: select a subject, initiate a quiz, answer the questions before the timer expires, and view your score. Throughout the development process, I relied heavily on artificial intelligence. ChatGPT served as my primary coding companion, assisting me with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, troubleshooting bugs, constructing the quiz system, implementing timers, optimizing for search engines, and creating subject-specific pages.

Following this, I turned to generate a substantial number of quiz questions. I utilized Claude to produce extensive lists of questions covering topics such as geography, science, history, sports, and more. Naturally, generating such a vast quantity of questions also presented numerous challenges. That's where Grok came into play.

I leveraged it to scrutinize the questions for incorrect answers, duplicates, ambiguous queries, and other errors. My development workflow thus became a cycle: ChatGPT → build the website → Claude → generate questions → Grok → verify everything → repeat. Although this workflow is far from flawless, it significantly accelerated the creation of Unbotium compared to working alone.

The website is now live, and I continue to refine it. You can explore Unbotium at https://unbotium.com.
