Ganguly named Delhi Capitals coach for 2027 IPL

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly has been appointed as head coach of Delhi Capitals for the 2027 Indian Premier League season, the franchise announced. Ganguly, who represented India in 113 tests and 311 one-day internationals, made his coaching debut last year with Pretoria Capitals in South Africa's SA20 league. He will succeed Hemang Badani, who led Delhi to a sixth-place finish in the 2026 IPL.

Ganguly, 54, has been with the Delhi Capitals since 2019, initially as an advisor and later as the director of cricket in 2023-24. In a statement, Ganguly expressed his excitement about joining the team and building a strong and fearless squad for the upcoming season.
