Galaxy Watch 8 series is nearly ready for the big One UI 9 Watch update
The fourth One UI 9 Watch beta is now rolling out to the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic.
Samsung is set to launch the fourth One UI 9 Watch beta for the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, addressing various issues including the Always-on Display (AOD), the Health app, and other enhancements. The first-generation Galaxy Watch Ultra is also receiving its third One UI 9 Watch beta, with a nearly identical update.
Currently, the beta is limited to South Korea, but it is expected to roll out to the United States shortly. The rollout of the One UI 9 Watch beta for the Galaxy Watch 8 series began in late August, with two more updates to Samsung's 2025 smartwatches being distributed in South Korea. Screenshots shared on X by leaker Kailash0729 confirm that Samsung has officially started the update process (ZZJ1) for both the Galaxy Watch 8 and the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic in the region.
The 226.19MB update includes fixes for AOD-related bugs, a patch for an error in the Samsung Health app, and improvements to home button shortcuts on both devices.
