FCMB marks Customer Service Week with digital upgrades, rewards

First City Monument Bank (FCMB) is set to celebrate Customer Service Week 2026 from October 5 to 9, emphasizing its commitment to enhancing service delivery and customer experience. The theme for this year’s event is “The Extra Mile,” reflecting the bank’s focus on technological innovations and service improvements. FCMB has recently introduced several digital upgrades, including expanded authentication options via its Temi chatbot and transaction e-tokens integrated into customer receipts.

These enhancements aim to make banking services more accessible, responsive, and convenient, as highlighted in the KPMG 2025 Nigeria Banking Industry Customer Experience Survey, which ranked FCMB’s Mobile App first in mobile banking and USSD experience categories, followed by first in contact centre experience. FCMB’s Managing Director, Yemisi Edun, stated that customer service is a continuous commitment guiding product design, technology deployment, and customer engagement.

The bank’s Executive Director of Corporate Services and Service Management, Felicia Obozuwa, added that the bank seeks to foster a culture where employees consistently strive to improve customer experiences. During the week, FCMB will engage customers and employees through activities at both branch locations and digital platforms.

Customers will benefit from bonuses for purchasing airtime through FCMB’s USSD platform and for new account holders who make purchases through the Mobile App. Additionally, FCMB Premium Lounges in Lagos and Abuja will offer promotional rewards, and Kiddies Account holders will enjoy specialized appreciation activities. Employee programs, including a Digital Innovation Pitch and a Banker’s Game Show, will also be organized.

Customer Service Week serves as a global platform for recognizing the crucial role of employees in delivering customer service and strengthening business relationships.
