Entrepreneur honoured for contributions to community devt

Entrepreneur Chief Cyril Okoye, the Executive Chairman of Grape Tree International Limited, has been named Patron of the Unique Fellows All Nations Club, Awka, in appreciation of his dedication to humanitarian and community development. Okoye, originally from Adazi-Ani in Anambra State, received this distinction for his "consistent philanthropic contributions and dedication to enhancing the well-being of his community and beyond."

This recognition took place during the installation ceremony of Sir Gabriel Moneke as the seventh Mayor of the club at ASUU Secretariat, Awka.

Following his receipt of the honour, Okoye expressed his pleasure with the honour and lauded the new Mayor's leadership approach. He remarked, "I am very delighted with what has happened here today. I am also delighted with the leadership style of the newly installed Mayor, Sir Moneke, and I wish him and his executive members well as they commence piloting the affairs of the club for the next three years."

Okoye noted that he had previously received numerous recognitions for his philanthropic efforts at both local and national levels, but this particular honour was especially meaningful as it came from a club comprised of professionals from various sectors of the economy.

He pledged to continue his commitment to giving back to society and supporting initiatives that can improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians. Okoye also called on other affluent Nigerians to contribute to national development regardless of their ethnic, religious, or regional affiliations, asserting that "we all have a responsibility to give back to society."
