CP NewsAlert: Québec solidaire’s Ruba Ghazal projected to win riding
Montreal - The Canadian Press decision desk is forecasting Québec solidaire co-spokesperson Ruba Ghazal to secure victory in her Montreal riding of Mercier. Ghazal, a founding member of the left-wing sovereigntist party since 2006, will be representing the Mercier constituency. Born in Lebanon in 1977 to Palestinian refugee parents, Ghazal immigrated to Quebec at the age of ten and spent her formative years between Montreal and Laval.
