A charity golf day is set to take place on October 25th at Costa Calida to raise funds for a donkey rescue shelter. The event, hosted by the Altaona Golf & Country Village, will feature an 18-hole Texas Scramble tournament starting at 12:00pm. Attendees can either play the tournament for €65, which includes all 18 holes, a shared buggy, and a donation to the cause, or choose to walk the course for €50.
The proceeds from the event will primarily benefit Andrea’s Animal Rescue, an organization founded in 2008 that rescues and cares for donkeys and ponies in Mazarron. The shelter relies heavily on donations to cover expenses such as food, veterinary care, and maintenance for the animals. Organizers are urging teams to register soon and encouraging both golf enthusiasts and animal lovers to participate in this sports event and solidarity fundraiser.
