Broncos QB Bo Nix remains ‘real confident’ in OC Davis Webb
"(Davis Webb) definitely is going to continue to work to put us in the right spots," Broncos QB Bo Nix said Sunday.
Despite the Denver Broncos' difficulties in their first four games of the season, quarterback Bo Nix remains confident in offensive coordinator Davis Webb. Nix stated, "I'm real confident in him." He acknowledged, "When you look at the overall landscape, we've played four of the top teams in the league." Nix expressed his belief that Webb will keep working to put the team in the right situations.
He added, "I definitely think it's something we gotta continue to help him and execute." The team's struggles in the first half of games have raised doubts about Webb's offensive philosophy, but Denver has shown they are a second-half team. Nix noted that the offense is making it difficult for Webb, particularly with deep third downs and behind the sticks.
He said, "As players, you gotta put him in a better spot." Nix reiterated that third-downs are challenging for Webb, as there aren't many options in that situation. He concluded, "We just gotta help him." With more questions about Webb's performance, the Broncos' offense must improve in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers to solidify their season.
