Charlotte, North Carolina - October 05, 2026 - ACC basketball media days kicked off on Monday with women's basketball, and head coach Wes Moore of the NC State Wolfpack was present alongside team members Zoe Brooks and Khamil Pierre. During a press conference, Moore shared his thoughts on the team's chemistry, emphasizing the importance of playing for one another and enjoying the journey.
He acknowledged that the season will be grueling and acknowledged the team's size disadvantage. Moore stressed the need for faster play, increased pressure, and applying ball pressure to generate more turnovers and keep opponents off the free-throw line. While NC State's defensive strategies in the past have relied on strong interior defense and rebounding, Moore admitted that the team might have to adopt a more aggressive offensive approach to address their defensive shortcomings.
However, he clarified that such a strategy is not an easy feat, and the team's defensive efficiency may face challenges in implementing faster play.
