Zamfara: GOC tasks troops to sustain offensive against terrorists

The General Officer Commanding of the 8 Division and Commander of Sector 2 of Operation Fansan Yamma, Maj.-Gen. Bemgba Koughna, has conducted an inspection of forward operating bases throughout Zamfara State. During this operational tour, Koughna meticulously examined the troops' tactical placements, defensive installations, and logistical readiness.

The primary objective of this visit was to evaluate the security landscape in the areas under his command and pinpoint any areas that necessitate adjustments to bolster the ongoing efforts against terrorist activities and criminal syndicates.

Upon interacting with the troops, General Koughna lauded their resilience, dedication, and sacrifices made in the struggle against insecurity. With these encouraging words, he issued a directive to the personnel to maintain a robust operational stance, preserve the headway of ongoing missions, and remain steadfast in their pursuit of restoring peace across the state.
