Telangana CEO orders action against Form 7 misuse to delete eligible voters

Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudharsan Reddy has ordered District Election Officers and Collectors to take action against individuals who provide knowingly false statements or declarations in Forms-6, 6A, 7 and 8, according to a memo issued on Monday, October 5, 2026. The CEO cited instances of bulk applications in Form-7, along with allegations that the forms were not genuine, reaching the CEO's office.

He emphasized that an inquiry needs to be initiated under Rule 20 of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, before taking any action as per the provisions of Sections 31 of the Representation of People Act, 1950. All terms and conditions for comments must be in English, in full sentences, and cannot be abusive or personal.
