Lizzie Killian, the frontwoman of Raleigh-based project Teens In Trouble, introduces her new single "I Do" from the band's latest album. Her music blends pop-funk and fuzzed-out garage rock, with "I Do" being a prime example of her distinctive style. The previous Teens In Trouble album, "What's Mine," came out in 2024, with PUP frontman Stefan Babcock contributing to the opening track "You Don't Want To Mess With Me." Earlier this year, the band contributed tracks to a split with Bat Boy.
"I Do" was recorded alongside Dave Schiffman, a collaborator of PUP, and co-written with Hannah Eagle of Bat Boy. Killian penned the song after reflecting on a recent friendship breakup that she had initially convinced herself she had moved on from. The accompanying music video, directed by Aja Pop, features Killian engaging in a boxing match to symbolize the turmoil of the situation. The video can be viewed in the provided link.
