Shahril persoal proklamasi undur tarikh ditandatangani Ismail

Former Umno communications chief Shahril Hamdan questioned whether the proclamation dated April 19 could be considered valid following the resignation of Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir as the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan after it was signed by Deputy Prime Minister Ismail Lasim. Shahril also raised doubts about whether a document initially released without the deputy prime minister's signature could be presented to the new deputy prime minister and have it signed.

While he admitted uncertainty about the legal standing of the issue, Shahril suggested there was a basis for arguing that such a process should not be allowed. He maintained that a new proclamation process should be initiated, creating a new proclamation under the existing deputy prime minister and existing laws. Vice President Zaidel Baharuddin also raised similar concerns about why the involved parties continued to rely on the April 19 proclamation rather than starting a new process from the beginning.
