Portugal: ‘Now your worst enemy’ – France World Cup star names 3 people to blame for Ronaldo’s situation

France World Cup winner Bixente Lizarazu has criticized Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese Football Federation, and coach Jorge Jesus for their roles in the national team's recent controversies. Lizarazu, speaking on Telefoot, argued that Ronaldo's abrupt departure from the team is the result of a series of poor decisions and should not conclude in such a manner.

He emphasized that it is unacceptable for such a skilled and significant player to leave under these circumstances. Lizarazu contended that the Portuguese Football Federation and Jesus should have held a collaborative discussion with Ronaldo, explaining the reasons behind his reduced playing time and setting clear expectations for his role in future matches.

Additionally, he criticized the coaching staff for not allowing Ronaldo to play in the second half while preparing for the Norway match, which he deemed a critical error. Lizarazu concluded by stating that Ronaldo's ego has become his worst enemy, as it has prevented him from accepting the reality of his age and declining physical condition.
