New Army formations will strengthen response to insecurity — Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu announced on Sunday that the Nigerian Army has established new military formations in Zamfara, Kebbi, Oyo, and Osun states to enhance security and improve response to threats against vulnerable communities. The President explained that these new formations would bring troops closer to communities, enabling them to respond swiftly to security threats.

Tinubu also revealed that the Federal Government is accelerating the construction of military barracks and depots in Abuja, Ekiti, Ebonyi, and Kogi states, with Osun State already completing its project. These initiatives aim to improve the welfare and working conditions of military personnel and their families. Tinubu emphasized that the recent pay increase for military personnel has positively impacted the lives of servicemen and women and their families, acknowledging the sacrifices made by these individuals and their families.

The President highlighted the government's commitment to providing resources and support needed to protect the country, stressing that every deployment is a sacrifice made by a family.
