'Main Toh Hu Hi Nahi': Shubman Gill's Response After Being Asked About IND Vs WI T20I Series Goes Viral | VIDEO

India's ODI and Test captain Shubman Gill encountered a humorous moment while discussing the upcoming T20I series against the West Indies. The incident occurred as Gill returned from New Chandigarh after India's final ODI against the West Indies. When reporters inquired about the T20I team's preparations, Gill's response, stating he is not part of the T20I setup, quickly spread across social media.

Gill had previously been asked about India's gold-medal victory at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan, where the Indian team defeated Pakistan by 19 runs in the gold medal match. He congratulated the team, saying, "Congratulations to the Indian team and my teammates." However, the conversation shifted when the reporter asked about the T20I series planning.

Gill seemed taken aback before pointing out that he is not part of India's T20I squad. He remarked, "T20? Main toh hu hi nahi," which translates to "T20? I am not in the team."

The brief exchange quickly became a viral sensation among fans, with the video gaining significant traction on social media platforms. The incident also underscored the current division in Gill's international responsibilities, as he leads India in Tests and ODIs but is not involved in T20I affairs. Following his candid reaction, Gill decided to take a break, while India's T20I squad will return from Japan to prepare for the upcoming series against the West Indies.

The five-match T20I series is set to commence on October 6. With Gill not included in the T20I squad, focus will now turn to the players chosen for the series as India embark on another white-ball campaign.
