Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre shed light on 'Lanterns' after stunning finale: 'I had to gently wipe away a tear'
'Lanterns' stars Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre discuss the stunning season finale, social media reactions and what they'd do with the ring
After Lanterns season 1 concluded earlier tonight, the series finale delivered a number of shocking revelations. Among these were the identity of the individual who killed Hal Jordan (played by Kyle Chandler), the confirmation that there is indeed another Manhunter lurking, and the introduction of Aaron Pierre donning the Green Lantern's ring and uttering the requisite incantation to render John Stewart Earth's protector.
The finale answered a majority of viewers' questions, though not entirely. Following an HBO panel hosted by The Ringer's Mallory Rubin, featuring Pierre and Chandler, additional insights were shared. The two actors expressed their reactions to the season's end, their initial experiences filming the series, and the hypothetical usage of the Green Lantern ring for a day.
